Hitman 2

🕶️🗡️ Hitman 2 – Full PC Review (2025)

Tested on My Gaming Setup:

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 8GB

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 13th Gen

  • RAM: 16GB DDR4

  • Storage: SSD

  • Display: 1080p 60Hz

  • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)

🛠️ Performance & Optimization:

Hitman 2 uses the Glacier Engine (improved from Hitman 2016) and runs beautifully on modern mid-range PCs.

  • 1080p (Ultra Settings): 60–70 FPS

  • 1080p (High Settings): 75–90 FPS

  • Medium Settings: 100+ FPS (great for max responsiveness)

  • GPU Usage: 85–95%

  • CPU Usage: 50–60%

  • Temps: GPU around 65–70°C

  • Load Times (SSD): 8–12 seconds

💡 Enable DirectX 12 mode for better multithreaded performance.

🎮 Gameplay Experience:

🌍 Mission Variety:

Hitman 2 comes with 6 brand-new sandbox maps, each massive and unique:

  1. Hawke's Bay (New Zealand) – Tutorial mansion infiltration

  2. Miami (USA) – Race event with huge crowds and vertical gameplay

  3. Santa Fortuna (Colombia) – Jungle cartel base

  4. Mumbai (India) – Dense, chaotic slum city with multiple paths

  5. Whittleton Creek (USA) – Quiet suburban neighborhood

  6. Isle of Sgàil (North Atlantic) – Secret society gathering in a castle

🔁 You can also play all Hitman 1 maps inside Hitman 2 (if owned or via GOTY Access Pass).

🧠 Gameplay Mechanics:

  • Maintains the core of Hitman 2016 but improves it:

    • Picture-in-picture alerts

    • AI is smarter and notices suspicious behavior more naturally

    • Hidden foliage stealth

    • Mirror reflections work (AI can see you in mirrors)

  • Wide use of disguises, tools, distractions, and environment kills

🔫 Stealth kills, accidents, poisonings, and hilarious creativity are the core of every map.

🎥 Story & Presentation:

  • Continues the World of Assassination Trilogy storyline.

  • Agent 47 and Diana uncover global conspiracies involving Providence and The Shadow Client.

  • Storytelling is done through in-engine cutscenes, not pre-rendered like in Hitman 1.

🧩 More focus is on sandbox gameplay than the cinematic narrative.

🖼️ Graphics & Visuals (in 2025):

  • Still visually impressive and detailed:

    • Crowds, lighting, environmental interactions

    • Excellent character models, fluid animations

  • Miami and Mumbai are standouts in terms of scale and complexity.

RTX 3050 handles Ultra Textures, SSAO, and High Shadows comfortably at 1080p.

🎧 Sound Design & Music:

  • Sound cues are subtle and helpful for stealth.

  • Unique ambient audio per level – from racing events to jungle wildlife.

  • Voice acting is solid as always, with returning actors for 47 and Diana.

🎧 Directional audio helps track footsteps and awareness indicators.

🔁 Replayability & Features:

  • Every mission has:

    • Multiple entry points

    • 20+ kill methods

    • Mastery levels

    • Challenge rewards

  • Modes:

    • Sniper Assassin (co-op sniper mode)

    • Elusive Targets

    • Escalation Contracts

    • Custom Contracts from the community

💯 One of the most replayable stealth games on PC.
