Far Cry Primal

πŸ…πŸ”₯ Far Cry Primal – Full PC Review (2025)

Tested On My Gaming PC:

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 8GB

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 13th Gen

  • RAM: 16GB DDR4

  • Storage: SSD

  • Display: 1920x1080p @ 60Hz

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit

πŸ› ️ Performance & Optimization:

Far Cry Primal, built on the Dunia 2 engine (same as FC4), runs very smoothly on modern mid-range hardware like the RTX 3050.

  • 1080p (Ultra Settings): 60–75 FPS

  • High Settings: 75–90 FPS (best for performance/visuals balance)

  • Medium Settings: 90–100+ FPS (ideal for high refresh-rate monitors)

  • GPU Usage: ~80-85%

  • CPU Usage: ~50-60%

  • Load Times (SSD): ~10–15 seconds

  • Temperature: GPU maxes around 65–70°C

✅ No stutters or crashes. Very well optimized even in 2025.

🐾 Gameplay & Mechanics:

πŸ§” Setting & Storyline:

  • Set in 10,000 B.C. in the Mesolithic era – no guns, no vehicles, just primitive survival.

  • You play as Takkar, a hunter from the Wenja tribe, who rises to lead his people.

  • The story revolves around tribal warfare, survival, and taming nature.

  • The entire game uses a fictional ancient language with subtitles — very immersive!

🦴 It's a unique narrative for a Far Cry game — slower-paced but fresh.

πŸͺ“ Combat System:

  • Weapons: Clubs, spears, bows, fire bombs, traps — all craftable.

  • Combat is visceral and brutal. No modern tech — pure instinct and skill.

  • You can ignite weapons, ride beasts, and use nature against enemies.

πŸ’₯ Stealth is highly encouraged. Headshots with a bow are extremely satisfying.

🐺 Beast Taming (Signature Feature):

  • You can tame wild animals like:

    • Wolves

    • Sabretooth tigers

    • Cave bears

    • Owls (used for scouting & aerial attacks)

  • Each beast has special abilities and can be summoned anytime.

  • Your owl becomes your drone — scout enemies, drop bombs, mark targets.

πŸ¦… One of the best parts of the game — makes you feel like a real prehistoric hunter.

🌍 Open World Exploration:

  • The world of Oros is lush, dangerous, and beautifully wild.

  • Dense forests, rivers, caves, and snowy mountains.

  • The world feels alive with dynamic day-night cycles and unpredictable wildlife behavior.

Side activities include:

  • Tribe missions

  • Hunting rare animals

  • Finding cave paintings and collectibles

  • Upgrading your village

🎨 Graphics & Visuals (2025 Perspective):

  • Still very impressive visually, even after 9 years.

  • Lighting, fire effects, and foliage density are excellent.

  • RTX 3050 handles Ultra settings smoothly — the world looks rich and vibrant.

  • Animations are realistic, especially during animal interactions.

πŸ–Œ️ Optional: Use Reshade or SweetFX for sharpening and color enhancement.

🎧 Sound Design & Music:

  • Deep tribal drums, chants, and primitive music enhance immersion.

  • Sound of animals, wind, and crackling fire is well done.

  • The ancient language used in dialogues feels authentic and raw.

🎧 Highly recommended to play with headphones.

🧩 Crafting & Progression:

  • Weapons, ammo, and gear upgrades are all tied to hunting, gathering, and crafting.

  • You build and grow your village over time, unlocking skills, characters, and tools.

  • Skill trees allow upgrades in:

    • Beast Mastery

    • Hunting

    • Survival

    • Combat

πŸ“¦ Crafting and resource management is smooth and not overwhelming.
