Cyberpunk 2077

๐ŸŒ†๐Ÿ”ซ Cyberpunk 2077 – PC Game Review (Played on RTX 3050 + i5 13th Gen)

๐Ÿ” Overview

Cyberpunk 2077, developed by CD Projekt Red, is an open-world action-RPG set in the dystopian, neon-lit Night City. After a rough launch in 2020, it has been heavily patched and enhanced, with version 2.1 bringing major performance improvements, new gameplay systems, and the Phantom Liberty expansion.

You play as V, a mercenary entangled with megacorporations, AI, gangs, and the ghost of Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves). The game now runs significantly better on mid-range PCs — including yours.

๐Ÿ–ฅ️ Performance on My Gaming PC

Specs Used:

  • GPU: RTX 3050 8GB

  • CPU: Intel i5 13th Gen

  • RAM: 16GB DDR4

  • Storage: SSD

  • Resolution: 1080p

  • Settings Used: Medium–High Mix + DLSS Balanced

๐ŸŽฎ FPS & Smoothness:

  • Medium–High preset + DLSS Balanced: 50–60 FPS

  • Indoor scenes and driving: 60+ FPS

  • Heavy combat in neon-dense areas (Japantown, Downtown): 45–50 FPS

  • No game-breaking stutter or crashes after latest patches

  • Avoid ray tracing — too heavy for RTX 3050

✅ Runs smoothly with DLSS, making it playable and visually solid on mid-range specs.

๐Ÿ‘️ Graphics & Visuals

  • Night City is jaw-dropping, even at Medium–High settings

  • Neon signs, reflective surfaces, dense crowds, and dynamic weather systems create unparalleled atmosphere

  • Character models, clothing, and interiors are highly detailed

  • DLSS helps maintain sharp visuals without killing frame rates

  • RTX 3050 holds up well, but turn off Ray-Traced Shadows and Lighting

๐Ÿ”ซ Gameplay & Combat

  • First-person shooter with deep RPG mechanics

  • You can build your character around:
    ✅ Guns & explosives
    ✅ Stealth & hacking
    ✅ Blades & melee
    ✅ Cyberware & quickhacks

  • Gunplay is fluid and responsive post-update

  • Hacking adds a tactical layer — shut down cameras, disable enemies, overheat foes

  • Melee combat is much improved in 2.1 (especially Mantis Blades & Katanas)

  • Enemy AI behaves smarter now, with flanking and better cover mechanics

๐Ÿš˜ Driving & Exploration

  • Driving physics have been overhauled — now much more controllable

  • Motorcycles and cars feel weighty and responsive

  • Night City is HUGE and alive with:
    ✅ Gigs
    ✅ NCPD events
    ✅ Random crimes
    ✅ Vendors and ripperdocs

  • Fast travel + working Metro System added in v2.1

  • World feels alive — citizens react, cars honk, gangs fight in real-time

๐Ÿ“œ Story & Quests

  • Main story is gripping and emotionally rich, involving corporate espionage, digital immortality, and personal identity

  • Choices matter: multiple endings, major story branches, and emotional consequences

  • Side quests are incredible — often better than the main story (Panam, Judy, River, Kerry arcs)

  • Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand is a highlight — sarcastic, mysterious, and complex

  • Dialogue options allow role-playing freedom — aggressive, calm, romantic, manipulative

๐Ÿง  Character Progression & Customization

  • Deep Perk system: reflexes, cool, intelligence, body, technical

  • Customize cyberware: gorilla arms, hacking decks, speed boosters, invisibility

  • Fashion-forward: mix and match clothes, armor, implants

  • Gun upgrades, mods, scopes, and crafting are fully integrated

๐ŸŽง Sound & Music

  • One of the best soundtracks in gaming — synthwave, industrial, ambient beats

  • Gunshots and explosions feel powerful

  • Voice acting across all characters is top-tier

  • Night City’s ambient sounds (clubs, sirens, chatter) are immersive

  • Keanu’s delivery is cinematic and well-integrated

๐Ÿ” Replay Value

  • Campaign: 25–40 hours

  • Side content + gigs + NCPD jobs: 50+ hours

  • Multiple endings based on key decisions

  • Phantom Liberty expansion adds ~15–20 hours of new content

  • Builds like netrunner, street brawler, or stealth sniper give fresh experiences

๐Ÿ‘ Pros

  • Excellent performance on RTX 3050 with DLSS

  • Gorgeous and atmospheric world

  • Strong RPG systems and customization

  • Engaging characters and quests

  • Free major updates made it a truly finished game

๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons

  • Still demanding without DLSS

  • Some minor bugs may still occur

  • AI and traffic behavior, though improved, still imperfect

  • Not truly open-world reactive like GTA or RDR2

  • Ray tracing unusable on RTX 3050

Final Verdict

Cyberpunk 2077 (v2.1) is now a fully polished, immersive RPG shooter that finally delivers on its original promise. On your RTX 3050 + i5 13th Gen, the game runs smoothly at Medium–High settings with DLSS, offering a gorgeous and deeply engaging experience in one of the best-designed game worlds ever.

Rating: ★★★★☆½ (4.5/5)
๐ŸŒ† A must-play for RPG, sci-fi, and narrative fans — and it’s now truly optimized for mid-range PCs.
